How DriveClone Works

DriveClone clones an entire hard drive or a single partition by copying used data sectors from a source hard drive to a destination hard drive. If you need to clone to a larger hard drive, DriveClone lets you resize the partition(s) on the destination hard drive.

Cloning and imaging are done within Windows and do not require a system restart. All personal data, operating system files, settings, and configurations will be duplicated on the destination hard drive.

When DriveClone creates a complete backup image, it copies only used data sectors on a hard drive or selected partition and saves the data as a compressed image file. The image file can be stored on CD-DVD, on a network share, to external USB or FireWire hard drive, or to another hard drive within your computer.

When DriveClone incrementally updates a saved image, only changed data sectors are backed up. This reduces the file size of the backup image and and the time it takes to complete the incremental update.

2. Remote Recover

To repair an unbootable system via the network, choose Remote Recover. Remote Recover lets you use your network to access the disk drives on a remote machine exactly as if they were installed on your own system. You can boot a damaged system via CD, diskette or PXE-downloaded image, then access its drives remotely from your host Windows 2000, XP, or Server 2003 system. Once the remote systems volumes have been mounted, you can perform any operations on them as if they were local, including safely removing viruses using the antivirus software on your host machine while the infected machine is offline. Remote Recover does not require that an operating system be installed on the client machine in order to operate, so it can be used for performing installations on new machines in addition to repairing or restoring dead systems.

3. NTFSDOS Professional

If you need to access NTFS drives from MS-DOS, NTFSDOS Professional is the solution. NTFSDOS Professional allows you to create a boot diskette with which to boot NT systems. The diskette contains an MS-DOS environment where you can easily mount NTFS drives with drive letters and run DOS programs to read, write, repair, or otherwise modify the drives just as you would on FAT drives. You can run DOS-based antivirus software in the NTFSDOS environment to disinfect a system while the OS is safely offline. NTFSDOS Professional is a powerful tool to repair corrupt files or configuration problems that prevent Windows NT, 2000, XP, and Server 2003 systems from booting.

Virtual Drive Creator V.5.0

What does Virtual Drive Creator do?

The DOS SUBST command is a very powerful tool, even in Windows. It allows you to use a single (available) drive letter to specify a path which could be any number of folders deep, e.g. "c:\folder1\folder2\folder 3....\foldern" (it's been tested to 10 levels). Virtual Drive Creator™ (VDC) does exactly the same thing.

At this time VDC is not compatible with Windows Vista.

Creating and Removing a Virtual Drive

Select a letter in the “Available Virtual Drive Letters” list. You can use the cursor keys to select your letter or Click the letter with your left mouse button. You can then type in the path in the “Full path:” text box or, using the Drive and Folder Lists, browse to the folder you want set to the selected Virtual Drive letter. Click the “Add Virtual Drive” button to set the virtual drive for this session. Click the “Make Permanent” button to make the virtual drive permanent. Or, Click the Cancel button to abort the operation.

You can also input the full path first, then Double Click on the letter. This will create your virtual drive while bypassing the “Add Virtual Drive” button. Be sure to input the full path before Double Clicking the letter!

To remove a virtual drive, select the letter of the virtual drive you want to remove in the “Used Drive Letters” list. As with creating a virtual drive, you may use a combination of your left mouse button and the cursor keys to select the letter of the virtual drive you want removed. Then Click on the “Remove Virtual Drive” button. You can also Double Click the letter to remove its’ virtual drive.

Notes:

Drive letters in upper case (A:) are fixed (hard) drives, removable drives with or without media in their respective drive bays or drives that have been "Virtualized".

The drive letters in lower case (b:) are Network drives, not available to VDC.

Virtual drives are discarded when you reboot your computer, unless they have been made permanent.

Why use VDC?

Suppose you are working on a project like the RPN Engineering Calculator™, and all your files are in a Folder named "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio\VB98\RPN Calc", to access your files in Explorer, or VB6 you need to traverse through the maze of folders to get there. Using VDC I chose the letter R to represent that particular path and in any explorer type directory tree the letter R is there showing me all of my Folders and files I have in that Virtual Drive. I can also access that directory from a DOS Window.

Special for CD-ROM users! This works great! Copy the contents of your CD to a folder on you hard drive, not the root. Create a virtual drive pointing to that folder. Install the CD using the virtual drive letter. And like magic you can run the CD from your hard drive. This work for about 70% of the CDs we've tested, it does not work for music CDs or Data CDs.

1. Application and Phone Locks

* Automatic lock - an automatic lock is switched on after a specified period of inactivity in minutes.
* Protect applications - this option turns on the device locks if someone tries to access the protected applications.

2. Secure Storage

ADL Pro comes with a password-protected secure storage where you can place your confidential files. Files can be recovered easily by entering a password. You can use the security storage as a safety deposit box for all of your confidential documents, pictures or audio/video files.

3. SMS on SIM changed

ADL Pro alerts you if the SIM card on your phone has been changed by sending a notification SMS to a predefined number. The IMSI number of the new SIM card will be secretly sent to your backup number without the notion of the unauthorized user and your mobile operator and local authorities can assist you to track the new user and trace the phone.

For a backup number you can use the number of your backup phone, or the number of your secretary, spouse, colleague or friend. If you have more than one SIM card and you wish to authorize them to use with your phone, you can do that by simply entering your pass-code once and the SIM card/s will be remembered for further usage.

4. Remote Lock

Remote Lock is a combination of settings designed to protect the phone from theft and abuse. You can pre-select an action for ADL Pro in case an SMS with the keyword is received.

Options are:

* Lock the phone
* Switch on an alarm
* Delete selected data

By choosing the Delete option, you can remotely delete sensitive data from your phone, such as Contacts, SMS, Gallery, Calendar and Secure Storage to protect it from unauthorized usage. If this option is selected and remotely activated, your phone will send you an SMS with a confirmation request to prevent from accidental mistakes.

What is CAD?

CAD stands for Computer Assisted Design.

Unlike painting or drawing programs, CAD applications represent real-world objects in their exact real-life dimensions.

CAD programs use a "Vector Graphic" format to store the size and shape of objects such as houses or machines. Rather than filling an area with dots as a Paint program does, CAD programs store the actual measurements of the object.
